Testimonials

Andy: December 2013

Dan is amazing! His lessons were fun and really useful from the very beginning. He made sure I clearly understood what he was showing me – taking time to work out what I was doing to prevent myself getting it. I can’t believe how far I’ve come in a few months.

John: December 2013

I have played guitar for fun most of my life and recently got a sax. I didn’t know which end was which and was actually trying to blow with the mouth piece the wrong way round. After my first 15 minutes with Dan I was playing a complete C major scale – up and down!

Beth: November 2013

Dan is the choir director of our community choir, Goose Green Community Choir in East Dulwich.

Despite his dodgy taste in knitwear, you cannot fault his musicianship and commitment to teaching a diverse group of amateurs to sing and create music. He provides a fun, safe and encouraging environment where even the most nervous beginner can relax and become confident that they can indeed sing!

I would definitely recommend Dan as a music teacher for both adults and children.

Jo: November 2013

Dan is a great guitar teacher, knowledgeable and patient, with a seeming ability to pick up any song, in any genre and teach the theory as well as the practice. His classes are well structured and fun. I would definitely recommend him as a teacher to anyone wanting to learn an instrument.

Andy: September 2013

Dan is a brilliant teacher. Patient and fun and interested in what I want, not what he thinks I should want. His lessons are fun and goal driven. I have come on in leaps and bounds after only three lessons and had my first public performance this week!!

John (and wife): February 2013

My husband has just had a lesson with Dan really pleased with his tuition great guy and knows his music. One very happy customer. He can’t wait for the next lesson next week.

Rose: 2012

Dan Maitland taught my son Hamish how to play guitar starting when Hamish was eleven. I can highly recommend Dan Maitland.
